Il 27 febbraio, Fred again.. e Thomas Bangalter dei Daft Punk si sono esibiti insieme sul palco per un raro DJ set B2B durante il tour USB002 di Fred a Londra. L’iconico mix è ora disponibile per gli ascoltatori di tutto il mondo in streaming su Apple Music.
Questa performance segna solo il secondo DJ set che Thomas Bangalter ha pubblicato al di fuori del progetto Daft Punk. Nel mix, Fred again.. porta la sua inconfondibile energia, dando vita a una collaborazione memorabile con Thomas, che include alcune delle tracce più iconiche.
«Di solito ho una regola: non riguardo mai quello che faccio», ha scritto Fred online a proposito del set. «Faccio semplicemente le cose e poi cerco di restare presente e continuare a lavorare sulla scrittura della musica. Ma sì, con questo… proprio non riesco a smettere. Probabilmente perché gran parte non è musica mia, quindi non è soggetta alla mia solita voce interiore molto critica. In questo caso sono semplicemente un fan, più orgoglioso di un momento umano che di qualsiasi altra cosa».
